Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years (as on 01-01-2026).
• SC/ST relaxation: 5 years.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) relaxation: 3 years.
• Differently-abled candidates relaxation: 10 years.

Professor

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering and Technology. Requires 10 years of teaching/research experience (with 5 years at the Assistant Professor level) and a consolidated API score of 400 points.

Associate Professor

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in the relevant branch. Requires 8 years of teaching/research experience at the Assistant Professor level and a consolidated API score of 300 points.

Assistant Professor

• Master’s degree with first class or equivalent in B.E/M.E in the relevant branch of Engineering and Technology.

General Requirements

• Only Indian citizens are eligible. Proficiency in Bengali and English (medium of instruction) is required. Ph.D. must be from a recognized university or a top 500 ranked foreign university.
