Age Limit

• Maximum age limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on 07 January 2026.
• No age relaxation for general/unreserved vacancies beyond the specified limit (as per DoPT guidelines).

For Medical Candidates (Senior Residents)

• Essential Qualifications: A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956; registered with the Central/State Medical Council; a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB/MDS) as per MCI rules in the relevant specialty from a recognized university/institute.

For Non-Medical Candidates

• Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree (regular course, UGC recognized/equivalent) in the concerned discipline/subject (e.g., MSc).
• Ph.D. in the concerned discipline/subject from an Indian university/institute or an equivalent Ph.D. from a foreign university recognized by UGC.
