  • A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.
  • A postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent) in the respective discipline/subject.
  • Three years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree (for general disciplines).
  • DM/M.Ch or an equivalent qualification for medical/super specialty or surgical super specialty as applicable.
  • One-year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM/M.Ch (for DM/M.Ch eligibility), or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
  • For candidates holding the 3-year DM/M.Ch or equivalent, no additional experience is strictly required.
