Eligibility Details

Essential Qualifications

• Project Scientist-I (Non-Medical): Postgraduate degree (including integrated programs) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Computational Biology and Integrative Sciences, or a four-year graduate degree/engineering/IT/CS in relevant fields.
• Project Tech Support II - Technician & Field Worker: 12th pass in Science + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/Engineering or equivalent) + five years of experience OR three-year graduate degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences + two years' experience in a relevant subject.

Desirable Qualifications/Skills

• Project Scientist-I: PhD in Mycology/Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Microbiology; publications/thesis/dissertation on diagnostic test development/evaluation; knowledge of bioinformatics tools for primer and probe development; experience in PCR setup and microbiology experiments.
• Field Worker: Knowledge and working experience in Excel, Linux, etc.

Age Limit

• Project Scientist-I: Upper age limit 35 years with relaxation as per rules.
• Project Tech Support II (Technician & Field Worker): Upper age limit 30 years with relaxation as per rules.

General Information and Instructions

• Nature of Employment: Contractual
• Duration: 6 months, extendable up to 11 months and up to a maximum of 3 years
• Job Location: Department of Microbiology, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, with field work as required by the project
• No TA/DA for attending walk-in interviews; no hostel/accommodation provided
• This is not AIIMS Bhubaneswar permanent payroll employment; contract can be terminated with 30 days’ notice or salary in lieu
• Leave as per ICMR policy for extramural projects
