Age Limit

• Professor / Additional Professor: Not exceeding 58 years.
• Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 50 years.
• Age relaxations: up to 5 years for SC/ST; up to 3 years for OBC; PwBD candidates may have relaxations as per government rules. Maximum age for deputation posts may be specified separately in Annexure-1.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

General/Broad-Specialty Posts

• Professor: MBBS or equivalent, plus MD/MS (or NMC-recognised equivalent) in the subject; 14 years teaching/clinical experience.
• Additional Professor: Same as Professor; 10 years teaching/clinical experience.
• Associate Professor: Same as Professor; 6 years teaching/clinical experience.
• Assistant Professor: Same as Professor; 3 years teaching/clinical experience.

Essential Qualification & Experience (Super-Specialty Disciplines)

• Professor/Additional Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor: MBBS with DM/MCh (or NMC-recognised equivalent) in the subject; 12/11/4 years respective experience as detailed in the official advertisement.
