AIIMS Guwahati Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025 - Offline Application

Age Details

• Assistant Professor (Contractual): Not exceeding 50 years as on the date of the walk-in interview.
• No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.
• Age relaxation beyond the upper limit: SC/ST - 5 years; OBC - 3 years; PwBD (OH-OL & BL) - 10 years; Government Servant - 5 years (as per DoPT instructions); other relaxations as per DoPT rules.

Eligibility Details

• Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Part II applicants must also fulfill Section 13(3) conditions.
• Postgraduate qualification such as MD/MS or an equivalent qualification in the respective discipline/subject.
• For general disciplines: at least three years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution after obtaining MD/MS or equivalent.
• For super speciality disciplines: MD/MS or equivalent and DM in the respective medical super speciality or MCh in the respective surgical super speciality (2/3/5 years recognized course) or equivalent.
• For DM/MCh (2 years or 5 years after MBBS): one year of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining DM/MCh or equivalent.
• No experience required for candidates with a 3-year recognized DM/MCh degree or equivalent.
• DNB holders must provide documentary evidence of equivalence with MD/MS/DM/MCh as per NMC/MCI notification and may require additional experience depending on the type of DNB training institution as per notification.

Application Fees

• General, OBC, and EWS candidates: Rs. 1,500 (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only).
• Payment via Demand Draft drawn in favor of “AIIMS GUWAHATI” payable at Guwahati; candidate name and post applied for must be written in capital letters on the back of the Demand Draft.
• No application fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community.
• The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Additional Instructions

• Posts are contractual for one year or until regular appointment, whichever is earlier; extension may be considered per rules.
• Contractual faculty will have clinical, teaching, and research duties and will report to the HOD/Dean/Executive Director, AIIMS Guwahati.
• Remuneration is consolidated; campus accommodation deductions may apply.
• Private practice and other paid assignments are prohibited during the contract period.
• The contract can be terminated by either side with one month’s notice (or salary in lieu); misconduct or non-performance may lead to termination without notice.
• Candidates must satisfy all eligibility conditions as of the date of the walk-in interview; qualifications not recognized by Govt. of India will lead to cancellation of candidature.
• Reservation benefits apply only on production of valid certificates in prescribed formats issued by competent authorities.
• AIIMS Guwahati reserves the right to vary the number of vacancies, modify or cancel the advertisement, and its selection decision will be final.
