Age Limit

Upper age limit is 45 years as on the closing date of online applications. Relaxations as per Government of India rules apply for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).

Eligibility (Overview)

• Medical candidates: MD/MS/DNB or equivalent postgraduate medical degree in the relevant discipline.
• Dentistry: MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Non-Medical (examples): M.Sc. + PhD in the relevant field (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, etc.).

Note: Qualifications must be from a recognized university/institute and valid as on 15-06-2026. Private practice is prohibited. The post is a full-time tenure post under the Central Residency Scheme.

• SC/ST/EWS: ₹500 plus transaction charges (Non-Refundable)

Other Instructions

• The Senior Resident position is a tenure appointment for up to 3 years under the Central Residency Scheme.
• The post is full-time; private practice is strictly prohibited.
• Posting may be in rural health or urban centers attached to AIIMS Guwahati.
• Selection is based on a Personal Interview following online applications and document verification.
