Eligibility Criteria

  • A medical qualification included in either Part I or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (candidates with qualifications included in Part II must also fulfill the conditions of section 13(3)).
  • A postgraduate qualification (MD/MS) or an equivalent qualification in the respective discipline/subject.
  • For super-specialty disciplines: DM in the respective discipline/subject for medical super-specialties and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject for surgical super-specialties (2 years, 3 years, or 5 years + 6 years recognized courses) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: General disciplines require three years of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining MD/MS or equivalent. For super-specialties, one year of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining DM/M.Ch or an equivalent qualification. No experience is required for candidates possessing a 3-year post MBBS or 6-year DM/M.Ch qualification or equivalent.
