AIIMS Kalyani invites MBBS-qualified candidates to attend a walk-in interview for 47 Junior Resident (Non-Academic) posts on a six-month tenure basis. The walk-in interview is scheduled for 04-02-2026 at AIIMS Kalyani, West Bengal. Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of ₹15,600-₹39,100 with GP ₹5,400 plus NPA as per the 7th CPC.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age limit for Junior Residents: 33 years as on the date of publishing this notification on the Institute website.
  • PwD (OPH) candidates: 10 years of relaxation beyond the upper age limit.
  • Age relaxations for other categories will follow DoPT instructions as per Government of India rules.

Eligibility

Educational Qualifications

  • MBBS degree from a University/Institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
  • Completion of compulsory internship with internship completion certificate.
  • Registration with any State Medical Council or with NMC.

Experience and Eligibility

  • MBBS (including internship) should not be earlier than three years before the start date for Junior Residency, i.e., 31 January 2026.
  • Candidates who have already served two terms of Junior Residency (Non-Academic), either at AIIMS or elsewhere, will not be considered; each term is six months and counted as one term irrespective of duration.
  • Experience in Army Services, Central Health Services, Private Nursing Homes or Private Practice will be counted as equivalent to Junior Residency (Non-Academic) for counting terms.

  • Application fee is non-refundable.
  • Applications without the prescribed fee will be rejected.

How to Apply

General Information and Instructions

  • The appointment is purely on a tenure basis for six months and does not guarantee regular appointment or permanent absorption.
  • The tenure will terminate automatically after six months; resignation is allowed with one month’s notice or salary in lieu thereof.
  • The position is full-time; private practice is prohibited. Appointees may be required to work in shifts, including Trauma & Emergency Medicine, or in other areas as required.
  • Candidates must follow rules of discipline and conduct; canvassing will disqualify a candidate.
  • If false information is found or material information is suppressed, the candidate may be removed from service.
  • AIIMS Kalyani reserves the right to cancel the advertisement or fill fewer posts as required.
  • Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/OPH/EWS will be as per rules; valid certificates issued before the interview date are mandatory.
  • If suitable EWS candidates are not found, unreserved candidates may be considered provisionally against EWS posts, subject to conditions.
  • Applicants must provide a valid email ID and mobile number and check the Institute website for updates.
  • Government/NMC registration and internship completions must be produced in original at the time of the walk-in interview.
  • Candidates working in Govt./Semi-Govt./PSU should apply through proper channels and must bring an NOC; upon selection, they must submit a relieving order from their current employer.
  • Dress code and required documents: MBBS degree, internship completion certificate, registration certificate, identity and address proofs, age proof, and category certificate as applicable.
