Maximum age limits: Professor and Additional Professor - Not Exceeding 58 years; Associate Professor and Assistant Professor - Not Exceeding 50 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules. The crucial date for calculating the age limit is 24-11-2025, i.e., the last date of online submission. The period of experience will be counted after obtaining the prescribed educational qualification. Qualifications obtained after the closing date of receipt of online application (24-11-2025) will not be considered. This rolling advertisement is valid for one year, i.e., till 24-11-2026.

Essential qualifications

• For Medical candidates: MD or MS

Essential for Non-Medical candidates

• Master’s degree in the discipline/allied subject; Doctorate degree recognized by the University

Super Specialty disciplines

• DM or M.Ch (recognized under the IMC Act, 1956 or by the NMC) in the concerned department or qualifications recognized by the NMC as being equivalent thereto for employment as a teacher in a medical institution. The qualifying degree must be in the subject of the post.

Essential for Dentistry

• M.D.S. or postgraduate degree recognized by the Dental Council of India as being equivalent thereto for employment as a teacher in a medical college, in the subject of the post.

How to Apply

All eligible applicants fulfilling the essential educational qualification and experience should submit their application online via the official AIIMS Madurai website. Read the instructions carefully before filling the form. Any other mode of application will not be accepted.

Selection Process

Interviews will be conducted at AIIMS Madurai or at another location as decided by the Director. Candidates called for interviews must present all original documents for verification and may be required to submit an affidavit. After document verification, the standing selection committee will conduct the interview/selection for eligible candidates against the post applied for. Mere appearance in the interview does not guarantee selection. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
