For Medical Candidates

• A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. Candidates should also fulfill the conditions of section 13(3) of the Act and have completed 1 year of compulsory internship. Desirable: MD/MS from a recognized university/institute in the concerned subject.

For Non-Medical Candidates

• Postgraduate qualification, e.g., Master’s degree in the discipline/allied subject. Desirable: Ph.D. from a recognized university/institute in the concerned subject.
