Age Details

Not exceeding 58 years for Professor/Additional Professor. Not exceeding 50 years for Assistant Professor/Associate Professor. Age relaxations as per Government of India rules for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD (10 years), and Government servants (5 years).

Eligibility Details

Professor

• Medical candidates with MD/MS or equivalent; for surgical super-specialties, M.Ch.; for medical super-specialties, D.M. or equivalent. Experience: 14 years after MD/MS, or 12 years after D.M./M.Ch. (2 or 5-year courses after MBBS).
• Non-Medical candidates: Master’s degree + Doctorate + 14 years of teaching/research experience after doctorate.

Additional Professor

• Medical: Same basic qualifications as Professor. Experience: 10 years after MD/MS; for super-specialty, 8 years after D.M./M.Ch. (2 or 5-year), or 7 years after 3-year D.M./M.Ch.
• Non-Medical: As for Professor (Non-Medical) + 10 years after doctorate.

Associate Professor

• Medical: Same as Professor with 6 years after MD/MS. For super-specialty, 4 years after D.M./M.Ch. (2 or 5-year), or 3 years after 3-year D.M./M.Ch.
• Non-Medical: Same as Professor (Non-Medical) + 6 years after the doctorate.

Assistant Professor

• Medical: Same as Professor with 3 years after MD/MS. For super-specialty, 1 year after D.M./M.Ch. (2 or 5-year after MBBS); no experience required for 3-year D.M./M.Ch.
• Non-Medical: Same as Professor (Non-Medical) + 3 years after the doctorate.

Hospital Administration Department

• Medical qualification under Schedule I & II or Part II; MD in Hospital Administration or Master’s in Hospital Administration (MHA). Experience varies by post: 14 years (Professor), 10 years (Additional Professor), 6 years (Associate Professor), or 3 years (Assistant Professor).
