Air Force School Avadi Recruitment 2026: 18 Teaching and Non-Teaching Posts (Offline)

Age Details

• PRT, PRT (Special Educator), and NTT: 21 to 50 years as of 01 July 2026.
• Helpers and Watchmen: 21 to 40 years as of 01 July 2026.
• Women and physically challenged candidates may receive up to five years of age relaxation.
• Ex-servicemen with six months or more continuous service in the Army, Navy, or Air Force may have age relaxation up to three years beyond the maximum limit, subject to rules of the Society.

Eligibility Details

PRT (Regular)

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.E.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education (NCTE-recognized).

PRT (Special Educator)

• XIIth pass with a two-year D.Ed. in Special Education or XIIth pass with a one-year Diploma in Special Education (DSE) in any disability category, or related qualifications as listed, or any other RCI-approved qualification with relevant certificate courses.

Nursery Trained Teacher

• Senior Secondary with Nursery Teachers Training diploma or Diploma in Nursery/Montessori/Pre-Primary Teacher Training or Diploma in Elementary Education from a government-recognized institution. Higher qualifications may be considered, with preference for Nursery/Montessori training.

Desirable Qualifications

• Computer knowledge (MS Office), ability to read/write in Hindi/English, CTET/STET qualification (additional weightage), and experience in related art/music activities.

Experience

• At least two years of continuous service as a PGT/TGT or three years as a PRT/NTT in any Air Force School, preferably not currently employed there; such experience may provide age relaxation during selection.

• Written Test: 09 February 2026 (Monday)
• Teaching Aptitude Test (TAT) & Practical: 10 February 2026 to 12 February 2026
• Interview: 13 February 2026 (Friday) & 14 February 2026 (Saturday)

Additional Instructions

• Applications must be submitted strictly in offline mode between 01 January 2026 and 20 January 2026 at Air Force School Avadi, DC III IAF Avadi, Chennai 600055. Online submissions will not be accepted.
• Attach self-attested photocopies of required documents (DOB proof, qualifying degrees and marksheets, B.Ed. certificate, experience certificates, CTET certificate where applicable).
• For multiple posts, a separate application must be submitted for each vacancy.
• Selection process includes Written Test, TAT & Practical, and Interview. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the selection process.
• The School Management Committee reserves the right to cancel or modify vacancies and the selection process as needed.
