Age Requirements

• For Class 6th: Candidates must be between 10 and 12 years old as of March 31, 2026 (born between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2016).
• For Class 9th: Candidates must be between 13 and 15 years old as of March 31, 2026 (born between April 1, 2011, and March 31, 2013).

Eligibility Criteria for AISSEE 2026 Sainik School Admission

For Class 6th:

• Age: 10 to 12 years as of March 31, 2026 (born between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2016).
• Academic Qualification: Must be studying in Class 5 at a recognized school.
• Gender: Boys and girls are eligible.
• Nationality: Indian citizens only.

For Class 9th:

• Age: 13 to 15 years as of March 31, 2026 (born between April 1, 2011, and March 31, 2013).
• Academic Qualification: Must be studying in Class 8 at a recognized school.
• Gender: Mostly boys; select schools may admit girls under pilot schemes.
• Nationality: Indian citizens only.
