Essential Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree (Graduate) from any recognized university

Desirable Qualifications

• Diploma or Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism
• OR 5 years' experience in Print/Electronic Media
• Proficiency in Marathi, English, and Hindi (reading, writing, speaking)
• Preference for candidates with computer proficiency
• Marathi typing skills preferred

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 50 years
• Age relaxation as per Government of India rules for reserved categories
• Candidates working in Government/Autonomous bodies should obtain No Objection Certificate from their employer

Note: Demand Draft should be in favor of "Drawing and Disbursing Officer, Akashvani, Pune - 411005" and attached with the application form.

How to Apply

• Download the official application form from the notification PDF or the Prasar Bharati website.
• Fill the form completely in the prescribed format with all required details.
• Attach proof of age (10th mark sheet/certificate), educational qualifications, and residence proof (Aadhar, Passport, Driving License, or Tehsildar residence certificate).
• Attach Community Certificate if claiming SC/ST/OBC concession in the application fee.
• Attach No Objection Certificate from employer if currently employed in Government/Autonomous service.
• Paste one passport-size photograph on the application form and attach one additional photo for the admit card.
• Attach the Demand Draft for the application fee as per category.
• Send the complete application by Speed Post, Registered Post, or By Hand to: Head, Regional News Unit, Akashvani, Shivajinagar, Pune - 411005.
• Mark the envelope clearly as: "Application for Casual News Reader-Translator, RNU, Pune".
• Ensure the application is received on or before 05-03-2026.
