Age Detail

21-26 years as on July 1 of the vacancy year.

Educational Qualifications

• 5-year integrated LL.B. or 3-year LL.B. degree from a Bar Council of India recognized university
• Degree obtained in academic sessions 2024, 2025, or 2026
• Candidates awaiting final year LL.B. results in 2026 are eligible to apply
• Minimum 55% marks in LL.B. examination mandatory
• Working knowledge of computers (data entry, word processing, etc.)

Age Limit

• Must have completed 21 years and not completed 26 years as on July 1 of the calendar year of vacancy notification. Age relaxation, if any, will be as per High Court norms.

Other Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates with criminal cases (convicted or chargesheeted) are not eligible
• Candidates who have previously worked as Research Associate at this Court cannot apply again
• Candidates having more than one living spouse are ineligible

• The entire selection process spans August-September 2026 with several milestones:
  • Application form opens: June 6, 2026 (Upcoming)
  • Last date to apply: June 20, 2026 (11:59 PM)
  • Deadline to update payment details: June 23, 2026 (11:59 PM)
  • Display of weightage marks: July 10, 2026
  • Result: July 15, 2026
  • Shortlisted candidates list: July 31, 2026
  • Admit card issuance (2nd week of August 2026)
  • Screening Test & Interview: August 8, 2026
  • Merit list: 1st week of September 2026

Application Fee

• ₹500 plus applicable bank charges. Payment must be made online only.

Other Instructions

• Selected Research Associates will be directly attached to Hon’ble Judges at Allahabad or Lucknow Bench, performing legal research, drafting, and case preparation.
• The honorarium is fixed at ₹40,000 per month, subject to upward revision.
• After engagement ends, associates cannot appear before the same Judge for two years and must obtain prior permission for any academic or professional activity during tenure.
