AMU School Admission Form 2026-27: Class I, VI & IX Online Application, Dates, and Eligibility

General Eligibility

• Open to Indian nationals (limited seats for non-resident/foreign nationals under separate rules).
• Candidate must have passed the qualifying class from a recognized board; no rounding of marks or age.
• Qualifying board must be recognized by AMU.

Class-wise Eligibility

• Class I: Age as per the Maximum Age Limit table in the Guide.
• Class VI: Passed Class V from a recognized school; within prescribed age limits.
• Class IX: Passed Class VIII from a recognized institution; within prescribed age limits.

Documents for Verification

• Birth certificate (age proof).
• Previous class mark sheet.
• Identity proof (Aadhaar, Passport, etc.).
• Special category certificates (if applicable).

Important Dates

• Application Start Date: 15 January 2026
• Last Date to Apply (without late fee): 15 February 2026
• Last Date to Apply (with late fee): 22 February 2026
• Application Correction Window: 25-28 February 2026
• Entrance Exam Date (Classes VI & IX): 05 April 2026
• Admit Card Release: Before the test via student login (schedule in Guide Appendix II)
• Result / Merit List Declaration: Typically June/July 2026 (notification on amucontrollerexams.com)

Application Fees

• Test fee/processing charge payable online during submission (non-refundable).
• Exact amount per class is stated in Appendix I of the Guide.

Annual school fees (indicative, verify in Guide Appendix XI)

• Classes 1-2: Around ₹6,000 per year.
• Classes 3-8: Around ₹7,200 per year.
• Classes 9-10: Around ₹9,600 per year.

Payment is via net banking, card, etc.

How to Fill AMU School Admission Form 2026-27

1. Visit amucontrollerexams.com and navigate to Admissions → Guide to Admissions (Schools) / Application Form.
2. Register as a new user with a valid email and details.
3. Log in and update the student profile (name, parents, Aadhaar, contact).
4. Select class (I/VI/IX), medium (English/Urdu), and category.
5. Fill in academic details (previous class, school, board).
6. Upload scanned photo, signature, birth certificate, mark sheet, and any special documents.
7. Pay the fee online and submit. Print the confirmation page for reference.

Selection Process

• Class I: Draw of lots among eligible applicants.
• Classes VI & IX: Written test (85 marks) + interview (15 marks); merit list with reservations/special categories.

Admit Card & Result

• Admit Card: Download from amucontrollerexams.com via login (no postal dispatch).
• Results: Published online after answer-key challenges; counselling follows for shortlisted candidates.
