Age Details

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 25 years
• Age as on 01-01-2026

Relaxations

• SC, ST(P) and ST(H): 5 years
• OBC/MOBC: 3 years
• Home Guards/VDP/Civil Defence Volunteers (served ≥3 years): Additional 3 years
• Former Members of Militant Organizations (FMMOs)/SPOs: Additional 10 years

Educational Qualification

• Constable (UB): Higher Secondary (HS) or Class XII passed from a government-recognized board or council.
• Constable (AB): HSLC or Class X passed from a government-recognized board or council.
• Applicants with Higher Secondary or above may apply for both Armed Branch and Unarmed Branch with a clear preference indication.

Essential Requirements

• Must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Assam.
• Must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
• Must be proficient in Assamese or another state language.
• Selected candidates will have to submit proof of residence after the publication of the final list (SC/ST/OBC/MOBC exempted).
