Age Limits

• Minimum age: 18 years (all posts)
• Maximum age: 35 years (Scientific Officer-C), 40 years (Scientific Officer-D and Technical Officer-D), 50 years (Scientific Officer-E) as on 27/02/2026

Educational Qualifications

• Scientific Officer-E (Cardiology) - MBBS + MD (General Medicine) + DM (Cardiology) with 2 years of experience OR MBBS + DNB (General Medicine) + DNB (Cardiology) with 2 years of experience
• Scientific Officer-E (Hospital Administrator) - MBBS/BDS + PG Degree or PG Diploma in Hospital Administration/Management (minimum 1 year) + 8 years of experience (3 years as Hospital Administrator in a minimum 100-bed hospital)
• Scientific Officer-D (Hospital Administrator) - MBBS/BDS + PG Degree or PG Diploma in Hospital Administration/Management (minimum 1 year) + 3 years of experience (2 years as Hospital Administrator in a minimum 100-bed hospital)
• Scientific Officer-D (ENT) - MBBS with MS (ENT) / MD (ENT) / DNB (ENT)
• Scientific Officer-D (Radiodiagnosis/Radiology) - MBBS with MD (Radio-diagnosis) or DNB (Radio-diagnosis) or MBBS + PG Diploma in Radio-diagnosis/Radiology + 3 years after PG Diploma
• Scientific Officer-D (Ophthalmology) - MBBS with MS (Ophthalmology) or DNB (Ophthalmology)
• Scientific Officer-D (Pathology) - MBBS with MD (Pathology) or DNB (Pathology)
• Scientific Officer-D (Anaesthesiology) - MBBS with MD (Anaesthesia) or DNB (Anaesthesia)
• Scientific Officer-C (General Duty/Casualty Medical Officer) - MBBS with 1 year institutional experience
• Scientific Officer-D (Nuclear Medicine) - MBBS with MD (Nuclear Medicine) or DNB (Nuclear Medicine) OR MBBS + PG Diploma in Nuclear Medicine + 3 years after PG Diploma
• Technical Officer-D (Nuclear Medicine Technology) - MSc with minimum 60% marks + Diploma in Medical Radio-Isotope Techniques (DMRIT)/DNMT/DFIT with minimum 50% marks OR MSc in Nuclear Medicine Technology with 60% marks
• Scientific Officer-E (Nuclear Medicine) - MBBS with MD (Nuclear Medicine) or DNB (Nuclear Medicine) with 4 years of experience

Desirable Experience

• Technical Officer-D (Nuclear Medicine Technology): 4 years of experience; preference for experience in a full-fledged Nuclear Medicine Centre with PET/CT, GAMMA camera/SPECT/CT

General Instructions

• Applications must be submitted online through the BARС website.
• Read all instructions on the Home page under Job Application - How to Apply before filling the form.
• Print and carry the online application printout and admit card to the interview.
• Original certificates along with attested copies must be brought to the interview.
• The duties involve shift work; postings may be at Mumbai/Kolkata or any BARС Units in India.
• SC/ST candidates from outstation will be paid to-and-fro travelling allowance as per rules.
• NOC from current employers must be submitted at the time of the interview for those already employed in Central/State Government/PSUs.
• Date of birth as filled in online application and as stated on the Matric/Secondary certificate will be used to determine age.
• BARС reserves the right to reject/accept candidature at any stage and to cancel/restrict/modify the process without notice.
• Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
• Records of non-selected candidates will not be preserved beyond 6 months from the date of select list publication.
