Age Details

• General: upper age limit 32 years.
• SC: up to 37 years.

Educational Qualification

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering from an AICTE-approved college/institute or recognized university with First Class.
• OR full-time M.E./M.Tech in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering from an AICTE-approved college/institute or recognized university with First Class.
• The discipline/specialization must match exactly with the prescribed discipline, otherwise candidature may be rejected.

Post-Qualification Experience (as on 01.02.2026)

• For B.E./B.Tech candidates: Minimum 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience in industry or defence laboratories.
• For M.E./M.Tech candidates: Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in industry or defence laboratories.
• Experience is counted from the month following the final examination of the qualifying degree.

Essential Experience Areas

• UAV design including modelling, structural and thermal analysis.
• UAV subsystems, prototyping, evaluation, and system engineering.
• Design of composite and metal structures, including manufacturing and testing.
• Design of control systems for aerial vehicles and related thermal analysis.
• Experience in aero-modelling or hardware projects related to aerial platforms.
• Schematic diagrams, PCB design and testing.
• Ability to interface with evolving product requirements and airframe design revisions.

Desirable Experience

• End-to-end solution development from system requirements to final product.
• Planning design activities and multi-stage design/review processes.
• Design document review and autopilot analysis for aerial vehicles.
• Knowledge of aerospace/UAV communication systems.
• Programming experience in C/C++, Python, ROS, ML and AI.
• Simulator development for terrain generation, mission simulation and path planning.

Age Limit (as on 01.02.2026)

• Upper age limit: 32 years for General category.
• SC candidates: relaxation of 5 years (maximum age 37 years).
• PwBD: 10 years relaxation, plus category-wise relaxation for disability of minimum 40%.
• Ex-Servicemen: relaxation as per Government of India guidelines.

Important Instructions

• Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
• Internal BEL candidates are not eligible.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India for project and customer-related work is required.
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from employer is required for PSU/government employees at interview.
