Eligibility Details

  • Technical/Engineering Posts: First Class full-time degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Civil, etc.) from a recognized university/institution. PG degrees or diplomas are advantageous.
  • Finance Posts (CGM/GM): CA/CMA or a two-year full-time First Class MBA in Finance.
  • HR Posts (CGM/GM): Two-year full-time First Class PG Degree/PG Diploma in Personnel Management/HRM/MBA (HR) or MSW from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Varies by grade and function; ranges from a minimum of 4 years for Assistant Manager (Gr III) to 21 years for Chief General Manager (Gr IX). Experience must be post-qualification and relevant.
  • First-class eligibility is reckoned at 60% marks (aggregate). Relaxation of 5% for SC/ST and PwD candidates.
  • Private-sector candidates for GM & CGM roles must be employed in a company with an average annual turnover of Rs. 1000 crore or more in the last three financial years.
