Age Details (as per notification)

• Unreserved (General) Male: 18-37 years
• Unreserved (General) Female: 18-40 years
• BC/EBC (Male & Female): 18-40 years
• Transgender: 18-40 years
• SC/ST (Male & Female): 18-42 years
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years + actual defence service (up to 57 years on cut-off)

Educational Qualifications

• Intermediate (10+2) passed or equivalent from a recognized board/institution as on 01-08-2025.

Age Limit

• Age will be calculated as on 01-08-2025. Suitable age relaxations apply as per category rules. Details are provided in the notification.

Nationality & Other

• Indian citizens. Male, Female and Third Gender candidates may apply. Reservations are subject to Bihar domicile requirements and applicable rules.

Application Fee

• All Categories (Male / Female / Third Gender): Rs. 100
• Fees payable online via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI. Fees once paid are non-refundable.

Other Instructions

• Only online applications are accepted. Do not send hard copies to the Commission.
• Ensure eligibility criteria are met before applying. False information can lead to rejection and legal action.
• Check the BPSSC website regularly for updates, admit cards, and result notices.
• Photography and signature specifications must be strictly followed as described in the notification.
• 35% horizontal reservation for women within each category is applicable only to original residents (Mool Niwasi) of Bihar. A 2% reservation is provided for descendants of state freedom fighters.
• The selection process comprises Written Examination (100 marks) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (100 marks). Final merit is based on PET scores subject to qualifying in the written exam and medical/document verification.
• Only one application per candidate is allowed; multiple applications will be rejected. The commission reserves the right to modify or cancel any part of the process.
