BRIC INSTEM Age Limits (Direct Recruitment)

• Senior Technical Officer (Post Code 02/26): 40 years
• Senior Technical Officer (Post Code 03/26): 40+5 (15 years for SC-PwBD)
• Technical Officer-I (Post Code 04/26): 35 years
• Technical Assistant (Post Code 05/26): 35+3 (13 years for OBC-PwBD)
• Technical Assistant (Post Codes 06/26, 07/26 & 08/26): 35 years

Note: There is no upper age limit for employees who have been engaged in the work of the Institute or Department for 5 years or more as of 28.02.2020. Age relaxations for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, and PwBD candidates are applicable as per Government of India rules.

BRIC INSTEM Educational Qualifications (Post-wise)

Senior Technical Officer (Lab Support) / Scientific Facility Support

• BE/B-Tech (relevant field) with minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance of large installations in research or industry. Desirable: 60% marks in aggregate/post-graduation.

Technical Officer-I (Instrumentation)

• BE/B-Tech (relevant field) with 1-2 years of experience in a research establishment, OR 3-year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Desirable: 60% marks in aggregate.

Technical Assistant (Instrumentation / Lab Support / HVAC / Civil)

• BE/B-Tech (relevant field) with 1-2 years of experience in engineering and 1-2 years in maintenance of large installations. Desirable: 60% marks in aggregate.

Management Assistant

• Graduate/PG Diploma in Financial Management/Materials Management/Personnel Management with minimum 5 years' experience in Accounting/Finance/Admin/Purchase/Establishment/Hospitality. Knowledge of Tally ERP or similar package is essential; at least 3 years must be at supervisory level.

Junior Management Assistant

• Graduate in any discipline with knowledge of personal computers and applications. Desirable: 4 years' experience in Administration/Accounts/Procurement/Purchase/Stores/Establishment/Secretariat, preferably in Govt./Autonomous Institutions.

BRIC INSTEM Application Fee 2026

• UR, EWS & OBC (NCL): ₹472 (₹400 + 18% GST)
• SC/ST, Women, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD: Exempted from the fee

The fee is payable online via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Bank and transaction charges are borne by the candidate. The fee is non-refundable except where the Institute withdraws the advertisement for administrative reasons.

BRIC INSTEM Recruitment 2026: Important Instructions

• Applications must be complete in all respects; incomplete or defective applications will be rejected.
• The closing date of submission determines eligibility. Candidates may apply for more than one post but a separate application and fee must be submitted for each post.
• All communications will be via the registered email ID; regularly check the Institute's website for updates.
• Candidature is provisional until verification of original documents at the interview/skill/trade test stage.
• Canvassing will result in disqualification.
• Selected candidates may be required to serve anywhere in India.
• No TA/DA will be paid for CBT/Interview/Skill/Trade Tests.
• Direct recruitment appointments are subject to a two-year probation period.
• Any recruitment disputes fall under Bengaluru courts.
