Essential Qualifications

For Non-ITEP posts: Qualifications align with UGC Regulations (2018) and amendments. For ITEP posts: qualifications align with NCERT/NCTE regulations and amendments.

ITEP - Associate Professor (Sciences or Mathematics)

• Master's Degree in Sciences or Mathematics with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade)
• Master's Degree in Education with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade)
• Doctor of Philosophy in Education
• Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience at an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor, with at least 7 publications and total research score of 75 as per UGC Regulations, 2018
• Desirable: M.Ed or Ph.D in Education

ITEP - Assistant Professor (Liberal Discipline and Pedagogy)

• Post-Graduate degree in the subject with at least 55% marks
• B.Ed with at least 55% marks
• NET or Ph.D in Education or the concerned subject as prescribed by UGC
• Subject-specific PG requirements: see the detailed list in the notification (e.g., Zoology, Physics, Economics, English, Political Science, History, Commerce, etc.)
• Desirable: M.Ed or Ph.D in Education

Marks Relaxation

• 5% relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC (Non-creamy layer) at graduate and master's levels
• 5% relaxation for Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s before 19 September 1991

Non-ITEP - General Notes

• The 55% threshold may be relaxed as per university norms when applicable.
• Proofs and conversion certificates must be provided where required.

Important Instructions

• Two mandatory steps: submit online application and send a hard copy by post. Online submission alone is insufficient. Ensure the hard copy reaches by 25 July 2026.
• Prepare the hard copy with self-attested documents and proper serial numbering.
• Superscribe the envelope with candidate name, Online Registration Number, Notification Number, and Post Applied for.
