Age Relaxations

• Local residents of Chhattisgarh: up to 5 years relaxation on the standard upper age limit (effective up to 40 years).
• SC/ST/OBC (Chhattisgarh non-creamy layer): 5 years.
• Government employees (Chhattisgarh): up to 38 years.
• Ex-servicemen: relaxations as per defence service, not exceeding the higher age limit by more than 3 years.
• Retrenched government servants: up to 7 years, not exceeding the higher limit by more than 3 years.
• Widowed/divorced/separated women: 5 years.
• Contractual employees: service years capped at 38.
• Persons with disabilities: 5 years.
• Shiksha Karmi / Panchayat Karmi: relaxation equal to service years, up to age 45.

All relaxations together cannot push the maximum age beyond 45.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a university recognized by the UGC.
• Gazetted, Second Class post with a 3-year probation period.
• Degree must be the requisite qualification by the last date of online application.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 30 years as on 01-01-2026
• Local residents of Chhattisgarh may avail relaxations up to the local quota, and various category-based relaxations apply as detailed in the notification.

Application Fee

• Local CG residents - SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) & local disabled candidates: Rs. 300
• All other candidates (including those from outside CG): Rs. 400
• Portal Fee + GST: Applicable to all candidates (non-refundable)
• Local residents appearing for the exam/interview may get the examination fee refunded; portal fee, GST, and correction charges are non-refundable.

Important Notes

• The recruitment follows a two-stage process: written examination (300 marks) and interview (30 marks), totaling 330 marks. Minimum qualifying marks: 33% in each paper for the Unreserved category and 23% for reserved categories.
• The written exam may be conducted as CBT depending on the number of applicants. Centres include Ambikapur, Bilaspur, Raipur, Durg, and Jagdalpur (subject to change).
• The application process is online only. Certificates need not be uploaded at the time of application; verification occurs later during interview shortlisting.
• Non-submission of required documents at interview can affect appointment.
• NOC from current employer is advisable for candidates already in government service.
