Eligibility

Eligibility by Post

  • PGT (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer, Hindi, Bengali, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Commerce, etc.): Two-year integrated M.Sc/M.A. from NCERT or Master’s degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject, plus B.Ed. or equivalent; proficiency in the teaching medium. Computer application knowledge is desirable.
  • TGT (Arts/Language-English; Arts/Language-Bengali; SST; Physics/Chemistry/Biology; Phy./Chem./Maths): Graduation in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks, and B.Ed. or an equivalent qualification; or 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or an NCTE-recognized pattern; proficiency in the teaching medium.
  • Physical Instructor: Graduation with B.P.Ed. or equivalent; ability to impart Physical Education in English/Hindi.
  • All posts require competence to teach through the prescribed medium. Desirable: Computer Application knowledge where stated.
