Eligibility Details

• Specialist Medical Officer (Paediatrician): Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Paediatrics from an MCI-recognised institute with one year internship; must be registered with WBMC/MCI. Higher qualifications will be given weight.
• Medical Officer (AFHC): MBBS from an MCI-recognised institute with one year internship; WBMC/MCI registration. Desirable: DCH/DGO or similar experience. Preference will be given to female candidates.
• Specialist Medical Officer (Medicine): MBBS from an MCI-recognised institute with one year internship; WBMC/MCI registration; Postgraduate Degree/DNB or Diploma in Medicine.
• Specialist Medical Officer (Paediatrician): MBBS with PG/DNB/Diploma in Paediatric Medicine; WBMC/MCI registration.
• Specialist Medical Officer (Gynae & Obs): MBBS with PG/DNB/Diploma in Gynae & Obs; WBMC/MCI registration.
• Specialist Medical Officer (Ophthalmology): MBBS with PG/DNB/Diploma in Ophthalmology; WBMC/MCI registration.

General Instructions

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal and possess knowledge of local languages.

• Incomplete applications or discrepancies between submitted and original documents may be cancelled at any stage.
• Caste/Community certificates must be valid as of the document verification date; OBC candidates must have the specific category mentioned.
• No TA/DA will be paid for the selection process.
• The West Bengal DLSC reserves the right to decide on any point in the recruitment process and may cancel the process at any stage.
• The recruitment panel is valid for one year from the date of approval; vacancies will be filled from the panel within that year.
• Experience will be considered as post-qualification relevant years up to the specified maximum.

How to Apply

• A walk-in document verification and interview is scheduled on 29/01/2026 from 11:00 AM onwards at the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Alipurduar. Attendees must bring all original supporting documents and an ID proof.
• Applicants should submit a prescribed format application along with self-attested copies of documents and a non-refundable Demand Draft: Rs. 100 for UR & EWS; Rs. 50 for reserved categories, drawn in favour of “DH & FWS, ALIPURDUAR, NON NHM ACCOUNT,” payable at Alipurduar, at the time of document submission and verification.
