CSIR CIMAP Junior Hindi Translator Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 1 Post

Age Limit

• Maximum age for UR candidates: 30 years as on 20-02-2026.
• Relaxation up to 5 years for regular employees of CSIR/government/autonomous bodies/PSUs as per GoI/CSIR rules.
• Higher age relaxations as per GoI norms for SC/ST/OBC and PwBD as applicable.
• Ex-Servicemen and Widows/Divorced/Separated women: Relaxation as per GoI/CSIR rules, up to 35 years (UR) and 40 years (SC/ST) for widows/divorced/separated women.

Essential Qualifications

• Master’s degree of a recognized university in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as medium of examination at the degree level, OR
• Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi or English medium and English or Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject at the degree level, OR
• Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject at the degree level, OR
• Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa, OR
• Two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government offices including Government of India undertakings.

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge at Matriculation level of one language other than Hindi listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
• Degree or Diploma in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa from a recognized University or equivalent Master’s degree.

• Payment Mode: Online only via CIMAP recruitment portal; other modes are not accepted.

Instructions

• Online application is mandatory; offline applications will not be accepted.
• Hard copy of the application with enclosures must reach CIMAP by the due date; postal delays will not be condoned.
• Only one application per candidate for this post code will be considered; if multiple are submitted, the latest will be treated as final.
• All certificates must be from recognized boards/universities; qualifications must be completed on or before 20-02-2026.
• CGPA/SGPA must be converted to percentage using the university-provided formula; provide proof.
• No TA/DA is payable for the examination.
• Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years, extendable as per CSIR rules.
• Appointments may be at CIMAP Lucknow or other CIMAP centers as per organizational requirements.
• Updates including exam date, admit card, and results will be published on the CIMAP website only; no individual communication.
