Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as on 05-01-2026
• Relaxation in age as per Government of India rules for Ex-Servicemen is applicable. The rules and applicable relaxations are specified in the notification.

Eligibility

• Ex-Servicemen holding JCO (Subedar or higher) or an equivalent rank in other paramilitary forces with a minimum of 10 years of security experience. For Short Service Commissioned Officers and incumbents holding the position of Assistant Commandant in CRPF/BSF/ITBP, the required experience is 5 years. For Inspectors from Para-Military Forces, the required experience is 10 years.
• The above experience should align with the pay scale described (Rs. 8000-13500 pre-revised) unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Essential qualifications

• Ex-Servicemen JCO (Subedar or higher) or equivalent rank in other para-military forces with a minimum of 10 years of security experience. The 5-year provision applies to SSC officers and Assistant Commandants in specified forces. For Inspectors from para-military forces, 10 years of experience is required.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of security experience (5 years for SSC Officers and certain promoted positions as noted above).
