CSIR NML Consultant (Rajbhasha) Recruitment 2026 - Walk-in for 1 Post

Age Limit

Maximum 64 years and 6 months as on the date of the Walk-in Interview (28-01-2026). The maximum age for holding the Consultant position is 65 years, extendable at the discretion of the Competent Authority but subject to this limit.

Educational Qualifications

• Retired Rajbhasha Officers from CSIR, Central Autonomous Bodies, Central Government Departments, or Public Sector Undertakings, with at least Pay Matrix Level-10 at retirement.

Experience

• Experience in parliamentary committee inspections related to Official Language (Rajbhasha), conducting Hindi workshops, translation from English to Hindi, organizing Hindi Week, and knowledge of literary activities for the promotion and propagation of Hindi.

General Information and Instructions

• Initial contractual appointment for six months, extendable at the discretion of the Competent Authority.
• No claim for regular appointment in CSIR/CSIR-NML.

• Adherence to CVC circulars on professional ethics and integrity.
• Working hours: 9:15 AM to 5:45 PM (may require presence on holidays/emergencies without extra remuneration).
• Mandatory attendance; non-compliance may result in remuneration deductions.
• Candidate must be physically and medically fit and free from pending vigilance enquiries.
• Appointment terminable by the office with 15 days’ notice; resignation with 15 days’ notice (modifiable).
