Age Limits

Minimum age: 18 years Maximum age: 28 years as on 30-06-2026 Age relaxations available as per government rules for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and regular CSIR employees.

Eligibility Details

Education

Candidates must fulfil any ONE of the following options:

• Option 1 (ITI Route): SSC/10th with Science subjects (minimum 55% marks) + ITI certificate or national/state trade certificate in the relevant trade.
• Option 2 (Apprentice Route): SSC/10th with Science subjects (minimum 55% marks) + 2 years of full-time apprentice training in the relevant trade.
• Option 3 (Work Experience Route): SSC/10th with Science subjects (minimum 55% marks) + 3 years of work experience in the relevant trade in a Govt./PSU organisation.

• T2-01 Electronics: Electronics Mechanic / Electronics Trade
• T2-02 Electrical: Electrician Trade
• T2-03 COPA: COPA Trade
• T2-04 Multimedia: Multimedia, Animation and Special Effects Trade
• T2-05 Digital Photographer / Photographer: Digital Photographer / Photographer Trade
• T2-06 Mechanic Motor Vehicle: Mechanic Motor Vehicle Trade

Note: Experience counted only after minimum qualification; part-time/daily wages/visiting/guest faculty experience is not counted.

Application Fee

• General / UR / OBC / EWS: Rs. 500 (via Demand Draft)
• SC / ST / PwBD / Women / CSIR Employees / Transgender: Exempted DD should be drawn in favour of "Director, National Physical Laboratory" payable at New Delhi.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted by post only using the prescribed application form downloaded from the official CSIR-NPL website. Steps include downloading the form, completing it with required details, affixing photos, attaching self-attested copies of documents, and sending the completed application with the Demand Draft to the Senior Controller of Administration, CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi 110012, so as to reach by 30-06-2026. Superscribe the envelope with the post code and post name.

11. Age Concession Certificate for government employees (if applicable)
12. CGPA/SGPA to percentage conversion (if required) Languages other than Hindi or English require an attested transcript.
