CSL Recruitment 2025-26: 02 Assistant Engineer and Assistant Administrative Officer Posts - Online Application

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 45 years as on 19 January 2026.
• Age relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines, up to a maximum of 50 years.

Assistant Engineer (Weapons)

• Educational Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum nine years in Indian Navy, Ship Building/Ship Repair, or engineering companies in installation, maintenance, repairs, and trials of weapons-related machinery/systems.

Assistant Administrative Officer

• Educational Qualification: Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce OR Diploma in Commercial Practice/Computer Engineering/Information Technology (min 60%).
• Experience: Seven years post-qualification experience in office work, ERP systems, data entry, with at least two years in a supervisory role.

Notes:

• Qualifications must be from a recognized university/institute/board.
• Higher qualifications (e.g., B.Tech, M.Sc, MCA) without the prescribed diploma shall not be considered for the respective posts.

Application Fee

• General/UR: ₹400 (plus bank charges).

Selection Process

• Phase I: Written test (Objective Type - 40 marks; Descriptive Type - 40 marks). Minimum pass mark is 50% for UR candidates in each test.
• Phase II: PowerPoint presentation on work experience (20 marks).
• Shortlisting will be based on certificate verification and performance in Phases I and II.

General Information

• Applicant must be an Indian national.
• All posts carry AISL, with primary posting at CSL Mumbai Ship Repair Unit, but transferable to any CSL unit in India or abroad.
• Selected candidates must agree not to use smartphones at the workplace, as per CSL policy.
• Appointment is subject to medical fitness certification by the CSL Medical Officer.
• No TA/DA will be paid for written tests; SC/ST/PwBD candidates for Phase II are reimbursed single to-and-fro sleeper class rail/bus fare.
