CSL Ship Draftsman Trainee Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 60 Posts

Age Details

• Upper age limit: 25 years as on 04 September 2026.
• Age relaxations: OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) - 3 years; SC/ST - 5 years.

Educational Qualifications

• Ship Draftsman Trainee (Mechanical): SSLC followed by a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education, with at least 60% marks, and proficiency in CAD.
• Ship Draftsman Trainee (Electrical): SSLC followed by a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education, with at least 60% marks, and proficiency in CAD.

The diploma must be from a University, Institute, or Examination Board recognised by AICTE or an appropriate statutory/state/central authority. Candidates with equivalent qualifications must submit an Equivalency Certificate. Those without the prescribed diploma but holding higher qualifications (e.g., B.Tech, M.Sc.) are not eligible.

The upper age limit is 25 years as on 04 September 2026. Age relaxation is available as specified for reserved categories.

Application Fee

• UR / OBC / EWS: ₹300 (non-refundable, plus bank charges).
• SC / ST: Exempted.

The fee must be paid online via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking between 19 August 2026 and 04 September 2026. No refunds after submission. Only candidates who pay the fee will be considered.

Additional Instructions

• Candidates must apply online through the CSL SAP portal. Other submission modes are not accepted.

• Ensure the required documents (age proof, educational certificates, caste certificate if applicable, and a recent photograph) are ready to upload.
• Do not submit more than one application. Incomplete, withdrawn, or draft-status applications will not be considered.
• Certificates, printouts, or fees should not be sent by post to CSL.
• The notification clarifies that there is no guaranteed regular appointment after training. The two-year stipend is subject to organisational requirements and performance.
