Age Limit

18 to 36 years (as on 01 January 2026). Relaxations as per applicable rules for backward communities and SC/ST candidates.

Educational Qualifications

• MCA or B.Tech (Electrical & Electronics / Electronics / Computer Science) OR B.Tech (any discipline) with specialization in Computer (i.e., PGDCA or equivalent)
• OR B.Tech (any discipline) with minimum 1 year of experience in data processing/software development
• OR M.Sc with specialization in Electronics/Physics/Computer Science/Mathematics/Statistics with minimum 1 year of experience in data processing/software development

Candidates with relevant postgraduate qualifications or experience as specified are eligible to apply.

How to Apply

• Interested candidates must apply online via the CUSAT recruitment portal (recruit.cusat.ac.in) on or before 20-02-2026.
• After online submission, the signed hard copy of the application with documents proving age and qualifications must reach the Registrar, Administrative Office, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi-22, by 27-02-2026. The envelope should be superscribed: "Application for the post of Programmer in CIRM on contract basis".
• Late or defective applications will be rejected.

Additional Information

• The initial appointment is on a contract basis for one year, with possible extension up to two years.
• Reservation rules apply. The University reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on qualifying degree marks and other criteria. Proceedings may be subject to outcomes of related legal petitions.
