Age Limits (Session 2026-27)

• Nursery (Pre-School): 3 to 5 years as of 31 March 2026 (Born between 01-04-2021 and 31-03-2023).
• KG (Kindergarten): 4 to 6 years as of 31 March 2026 (Born between 01-04-2020 and 31-03-2022).
• Class 1: 5 to 7 years as of 31 March 2026 (Born between 01-04-2019 and 31-03-2021).

Eligibility Details

EWS Category Criteria

• The child must belong to a family categorized as Economically Weaker Section under Delhi government norms.
• Total annual family income (from all sources) must be less than or equal to ₹5,00,000.
• A valid income certificate issued by a competent revenue authority of GNCTD is mandatory.

DG Category Criteria

• Child must belong to specified Disadvantaged Groups such as SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), children with disability, orphans, transgender children, and other categories notified by DoE Delhi.
• A relevant category certificate issued by a competent Delhi authority is required.

Income Limit Requirement

• EWS: Annual family income up to ₹5 lakh.
• DG: Income limit is generally not mandatory if eligibility is purely category-based.

Delhi Residence Requirement

• The child must be a resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
• Valid address proof showing the Delhi address is required.
