Age Details

• Minimum Age: 35 years

Eligibility Details

Post eligibility

• Advocates with a minimum of 7 years of continuous practice as on 15 July 2026.
• Judicial Officers with an equivalent combined experience (as an Advocate and/or in judicial service) totaling at least 7 years as on 15 July 2026.
• Candidates must be Indian citizens.

• Age: 35 to 45 years as on 15 July 2026.
• Experience date reference: last date of receipt of applications (15 July 2026).

• Online Application Start Date: 01 July 2026 (10:00 Hrs.)
• Online Application Last Date: 15 July 2026 (17:30 Hrs.)
• Preliminary Examination: 26 July 2026 (Sunday), 11:00 AM - 01:00 PM

Application Fees

• General: ₹2,000
• SC / ST / PwD (40% or more disability): ₹500 Payments are to be made online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI. The fee is non-refundable.

Important Instructions

• Apply online only through the official Delhi High Court portal. No other mode of application will be accepted.
• Read the Delhi Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1970 (as amended) before filling the form.
• Ensure the required documents and age/experience criteria are met before submission.
• Print a copy of the submitted application for your records. Do not send the printout to the High Court of Delhi.
• Download the Admit Card from the official site prior to the Preliminary Examination.

Document Requirements (for Mains)

• Proof of age (Matriculation certificate or equivalent)
• Xth and XIIth marks sheets and certificates
• LL.B. degree or equivalent law degree (semester-wise/consolidated marksheets)
• Advocate’s licence and Bar Council enrolment certificate
• Certificate from Bar Council certifying period of practice (countersigned as required)
• Pass certificate of All India Bar Examination, where applicable
• Copies of order sheets/judgments (minimum 2 per year) for the 7 years preceding the last date of application
• Income Tax Returns and computation/statement of accounts
• No Objection Certificate (original) from employer if in Government/Judicial service
• Original Caste Certificate (for SC/ST candidates)
• Original Disability Certificate (PwD candidates) issued by a Government Hospital/Medical Board
