Essential qualifications

• Practice as an advocate with experience in criminal matters

Experience by post

• Chief Legal Defense Counsel: Minimum 10 years of practice in Session Court
• Deputy Chief Legal Defense Counsel: Minimum 7 years of practice in Session Court
• Assistant Legal Defense Counsel: 0 to 3 years of practice in Judicial Magistrate level court

Desirable

• Knowledge of Information Technology and Legal Software Tools
