Age Limit

The upper age limit is generally 44 years for clinical specialties, with relaxations up to around 49 years for certain categories as on the date of notification. Refer to the official advertisement for exact relaxations.

Educational Qualification

MD/MS in the concerned specialty or DNB in Broad Specialties from recognized medical institutions with attached hospitals of 500 beds or more.

Registration

Registered with the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council at the time of applying.

Local Candidature and Other Conditions

Local candidates will be given preference; non-local candidates may be considered if suitable local candidates are not available. Candidates already serving as Senior Residents in Government Medical Colleges of Andhra Pradesh are generally not eligible to apply again. Reservations and other eligibility norms apply as per state rules.

Selection Process

Merit-based selection based on postgraduate examination marks (MD/MS/DNB) with applicable reservation rules. Tie-breaker will be date of birth (older candidate preferred). Final selection is subject to the availability of vacancies and adherence to government orders.
