Age Details

• Maximum age: 50 years as on 30-11-2025.
• PwDs: upper age limit relaxable by 10 years.

Educational Qualification

• Degree in Law (full-time) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university/institute in India.
• The qualification should have been completed within the prescribed minimum duration.
• If CGPA/OGPA/CPI or letter grade is awarded, the equivalent percentage should be indicated as per university/institute norms.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 23 years post-qualification relevant experience (at least 5 years in a Senior Management position).
• Experience as a Full-Time Officer/Executive in the Legal Department of Central/State Government or their Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory Corporations/Regulatory Bodies.
• OR Full-time Executive/Officer in the Legal Department of a Private Sector organization listed on NSE or from Group A/B of BSE, or having more than 500 regular employees, or annual turnover exceeding Rs. 250 crores during relevant financial years.
• OR Judicial Officer in Judicial Service of any State.
• OR Full-Time Officer in a reputed Law Firm with annual turnover above Rs. 10 crores during relevant financial years.
• Experience as a practicing advocate in District Court/High Court/Supreme Court up to 8 years within the 23-year requirement shall be considered.
• Candidates working in PSU/Government must have at least one year of experience in the next lower pay scale or equivalent.

Desirable Experience Areas

• Arbitration (including commercial arbitration) & Conciliation; Industrial/Labour law; drafting and vetting legal/contractual documents; regulatory matters; mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures.
• Handling litigation (Civil, Consumer, Criminal) before various judicial/quasi-judicial forums.
• Experience in oil & gas/petrochemical industry preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 23 years post-qualification relevant experience as on 30-11-2025, with at least 5 years in a Senior Management position.
• Suitable documentary proof must be provided at the time of online application to establish experience.
• For departmental candidates of EIL: minimum two years of service in EIL and at least one year in the present level as on 30-11-2025.
