• Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: not exceeding 69 years
• Senior Resident (General): 45 years
• Senior Resident (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine): 50 years

Educational qualifications

As per National Medical Commission (NMC, formerly MCI) guidelines dated 30-06-2025.

• Posts require medical qualifications in line with NMC guidelines for Teaching Faculty (Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor) and Senior Residents.

Age limits

• Teaching Faculty posts: not exceeding 69 years at the time of interview.
• Senior Residents (General departments): up to 45 years.
• Senior Residents (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine): up to 50 years.

Age relaxation as per GOI norms for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD/Ex-Servicemen.

• Interview outcomes and list of candidates to be published on ESIC official site and communicated via email after document scrutiny

• All Other Categories: ₹500
• Fee payable via Demand Draft in favour of ESIC Saving Fund A/c No.-2, payable at Namkum
• Fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Application process

• Submit applications in the prescribed format with self-attested copies of all required documents.
• Attach a Demand Draft for ₹500 (if applicable).
• Email submission is preferred where indicated, or send by Speed Post / Hand Delivery to the Dean, ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Purulia Road, Namkum, Ranchi - 834010, Jharkhand.
• Each post requires a separate application.

Required documents (summary)

• Date of birth proof (Xth marksheet/certificate), MBBS marksheets/degree, PG marksheets/degree, EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwD certificates, recent passport photo, updated NMC/State Medical Council Registration, publications proof, experience certificates, NMC/BME workshop certificate (if any), Relieving/NOC, Aadhaar, PAN, and any applicable DD for fee.

Terms of engagement

• Contractual for 1 year, extendable up to 3 years subject to performance, not exceeding 70 years of age.
• Leave, security deposit, and termination terms as specified in the notification.
• Private practice prohibited during the contract period; attendance via Aadhaar-based biometric system; no accommodation provided.
• Non-claim for regular appointment; the engagement is purely contractual.
