Age Limits

• Teaching Faculty: Not exceeding 69 years as on 10-01-2026 (tenure up to 70 years).
• Senior Resident (clinical): Up to 45 years as on 10-01-2026; up to 50 years for non-clinical subjects.

Eligibility Details

Posts and Qualifications

• Professor: MD/MS in the concerned subject; plus required teaching/clinical experience as per post; additional notes on research publications and Education basics as applicable.
• Associate Professor: MD/MS in the concerned subject; requisite teaching/experience as specified; additional criteria on research publications and basic courses.
• Assistant Professor: MD/MS in the concerned subject; one year as Senior Resident or equivalent teaching/experience; alternatives include Armed Forces specialization or PG with relevant experience; non-medical candidates with M.Sc + Ph.D are eligible in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pharmacology.
• Senior Resident: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject with valid NMC/State Medical Council registration.

General Eligibility Conditions

• Updated Medical Council registration (NMC/State Medical Council) or proof of applying.
• EWS/OBC certificates in prescribed formats; reservation as per Government of India norms.
• PH candidates as per GOI norms.

Application Fees

• SC/ST/ESIC Regular Employee/Female Candidate/Defence Ex-servicemen/PH Candidate: Nil
• All Other Categories: Rs. 500 Payment: Demand Draft in favour of “ESI Fund A/c No.-1”, payable at Varanasi. Fee once paid is non-refundable.

Important Instructions

• Vacancies are provisional and may change; vacancies may be increased or decreased at the authority’s discretion.
• Reservation will follow Government of India guidelines; EWS posts are not carried forward if vacancies remain unfilled.
• If reserved-category candidates are not available, seats may be de-reserved or filled on merit.
• No private practice is allowed after joining.
• Tenure is for one year or until attainment of 70 years of age (faculty), whichever comes first; termination possible with one month’s notice. Spot resignation requires deposit of one month’s salary.
• No claims for PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowances, seniority, or promotion for this contractual appointment.
• Absence beyond 7 days without permission may lead to termination.
• False declarations may result in cancellation of candidature at any stage.
• The Dean reserves the right to cancel or postpone recruitment at any stage.
• No TA/DA for interview or document submission.
