GATE 2027 Registration - GOAPS Apply Online, Important Dates, Fee, Eligibility

Eligibility

• Candidates must have or be about to complete a bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or a master’s degree in any discipline. Specific eligibility requirements may vary by paper; refer to the official GATE 2027 notification for full details.
• There is no upper age limit for GATE; eligibility is based on qualifying degree requirements and the schedule for the chosen paper.

Important Dates

• Notification Released: 20 July 2026
• GOAPS registration starts: 27 August 2026
• Last date to apply (without late fee): 27 September 2026
• Last date to apply (with late fee): 5 October 2026
• Exam city allotment notification: 4 January 2027
• GATE 2027 exam dates: 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 February 2027 (three consecutive weekends)

Application Fees

• Female candidates: ₹1,000 per paper
• SC / ST / PwD candidates: ₹1,000 per paper
• All other candidates (General / OBC / EWS) including foreign nationals: ₹2,000 per paper

Important Instructions

• DigiLocker verification is mandatory for Indian nationals.
• Ensure DigiLocker details are accurate and updated before applying.
• Prepare and upload photographs, signatures, and photo IDs in the specified formats.
• Late fee window is applicable beyond the standard deadline.
• Regularly check the GOAPS portal for updates on admit cards, correction windows, and exam city allotment.
