Age Limit

Eligible candidates for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor must be below 69 years of age. The age limit for Tutor and CAS Specialist posts is not specified in the notification.

Professor

• Academic Qualification: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject, MBBS, and registration with the Telangana Medical Council, along with an additional PG qualification.
• Experience: Either (i) three years as Associate Professor in the subject in a recognized medical institution, or (ii) a Specialist Medical Officer of the Armed Forces with at least three years of equivalent Associate Professor teaching experience. Additionally, at least two research publications as an Associate Professor (among the first three authors), and completion of BCME and BCBR where applicable.

Associate Professor

• Academic Qualification: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject, MBBS, and registration with the Telangana Medical Council.
• Experience: Either (i) four years as Assistant Professor in a recognized medical institution (five years if directly appointed as Assistant Professor in a Government medical institution), or (ii) a Specialist Medical Officer with at least five years post-PG clinical experience including at least three years teaching as Assistant Professor. Also requires at least two research publications after becoming Assistant Professor and completion of BCME/BCBR as applicable.

Assistant Professor

• Academic Qualification: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject, MBBS, and registration with the Telangana Medical Council.
• Experience: One of the following: (i) One year as Senior Resident in the subject, or equivalent qualifications; (ii) Armed Forces Specialist Medical Officer with at least one year of teaching or two years clinical experience after PG; (iii) Non-teaching Consultant/Specialist/Medical Officer with PG degree and two years’ experience in a Government hospital of at least 220 beds (must complete BCME and BCBR within two years); (iv) Diploma holders with Senior Resident experience; (v) Diploma holders in NBEMS-recognized teaching programs with six years’ experience.

Tutor

• Academic Qualification: MBBS or equivalent, registered with the Telangana Medical Council.

CAS Specialist (Contractual)

• General Academic Requirement: MD/DNB/Diploma in the respective subject, MBBS, and registration with the Telangana Medical Council.
