Age Details

Educational Qualification

• AE (Civil) - R&B Department: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• AE (Mechanical) - Gujarat Maritime Board: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• AE (Civil) - Gujarat Maritime Board: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering

The degree must be from a university established under a Central or State Act in India, or from a Deemed University as per UGC Act, 1956. Basic computer knowledge and knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi are required. For direct recruitment, qualification must be held as on the date the first application scrutiny list is published (after the Preliminary Test), not necessarily on the application closing date.

Application Fees

• General (Unreserved): ₹100 plus postal/service charges
• SC/ST/SEBC/EWS (Gujarat Origin), Ex-Servicemen, PwD: Nil
• Reserved Category from Other States: ₹100 plus charges
• Fee is non-refundable. Unreserved candidates who fail to pay the fee cannot download the call letter and may need to pay a ₹500 processing charge to unblock it before the exam.

Interview/Selection

• Selection: Preliminary Test (300 marks) + Interview (100 marks) -> Combined score of 100.
• 15% minimum in Preliminary Test to be eligible for Interview.
• Final merit is 50:50 between Preliminary Test and Interview.

• Posts under Advt. 30 and 31 are Gujarat Maritime Board employees, not Government of Gujarat employees.
