GRID-INDIA Executive Trainee Age Limit 2026

• Maximum age: 28 years as on 31-07-2027 (born on or after 01-08-1999).
• Age relaxations as per Govt. directives: OBC-NCL 3 years; SC/ST 5 years; PwBD 10 years over the category relaxation; Ex-Servicemen/Victims of riots as applicable.

GRID-INDIA Executive Trainee Eligibility Criteria 2026

• Post Name: Executive Trainee (Electrical) and Executive Trainee (Computer Science)
• Qualification: Full-Time Regular B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.)/IDD (Integrated Dual Degree) from a recognized university for Electrical; Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology for CS.
• Marks: Minimum 65% or equivalent CGPA in aggregate up to the pre-final/final year as applicable.
• GATE: Must appear in the corresponding GATE 2027 paper (Electrical Engineering for Electrical; Computer Science/Information Technology for CS) and qualify as per the GATE 2027 Organizing Institute.
• Notes: Final year/semester students expecting results by 14.08.2027 are eligible if they meet the marks criteria. GATE 2026 or earlier scores are not valid.

GRID-INDIA Executive Trainee Application Fee 2026

• General/OBC/NWS/EWS/UR: Rs. 500 (non-refundable, online).
• SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Departmental candidates: Exempted from payment of the application fee.
• Fee payable online after login. No hard copy needed.

GRID-INDIA Executive Trainee Selection Process 2026

• Selection is based on GATE 2027 score (weightage 85%), followed by Group Discussion (3%) and Personal Interview (12%).
• Minimum qualifying percentage in the interview: UR/EWS 40%; OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwBD 30%.
• Shortlisting will be category-wise based on GATE marks; behavioral assessment may be used during interview.
• Appointment is contingent on medical fitness and satisfying all prescribed norms.
