Age Details

• Maximum age limit: 65 years as of 01-01-2026. May be relaxed up to 69 years in deserving cases at the discretion of GRSE Management.

Essential Education

• Full-time Engineering degree (BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg)) in Mechanical or Naval Architecture, or equivalent, from AICTE/UGC/Government-recognized institutions.
• Desirable: One year Postgraduate Diploma in Naval Construction or Master of Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum 26 years of relevant post-qualification experience in shipbuilding, ship design, ship repair, overseeing construction or operation of ships/submarines, with prior senior management exposure to infrastructure projects.
• Desirable: Experience in guiding shipyard modernization projects.

Other qualifications

• Only specified engineering disciplines within Mechanical and Naval Architecture groups will be considered.

• Start Date for Online Registration: 10-01-2026 (from 14:00 hrs)
• Closing Date for Online Registration: 30-01-2026 (up to 23:59 hrs)
• Last Date of Remittance of Application Fees: 01-02-2026 (for payments made within 30-01-2026 but registration not completed; subject to verification)
• Tentative Schedule of Interview: Will be intimated subsequently

Application Fee

• Rs. 590 for general categories (online payment).
• SC/ST/PwD categories are exempted from the application fee.
• The fee is non-refundable. Only online payments are accepted.

General Information/Instructions

• The Expert/Specialist will be engaged on a Fixed Term Contract for 2 years; tenure may be extended based on need and performance.
• Expert must be available at GRSE for a minimum of 12 working days per month.
• AICTE/UGC/Government-recognized degrees only; dates of result/declaration will be treated as qualification dates.
• Retired persons may apply if they meet eligibility criteria.
• GRSE reserves the right to modify the number of posts, cancel the process, or alter terms without notice.
• Hindi medium will be available for interview; candidates may be posted to any unit/project/location.
• Submission of multiple applications for the same post will lead to cancellation.
• Communications will be via email and the GRSE website; ensure a valid email ID and timely access to communication.
