Age Relaxation (as applicable)

Educational Qualification

• A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed under the relevant rules.
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.

Nationality

• The candidate must be a citizen of India or hold the nationality specified under applicable rules.

Age Limit

• As on 29 July 2026, age must be between 20 and 40 years, with relaxation as per applicable rules for certain categories.

Application Fee

• Unreserved (General): Rs. 500
• Reserved (Women of all categories, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwD, Ex-servicemen): Rs. 400 The fee is paid online through Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI or Wallet. A transaction fee may apply. Fees are non-refundable except for eligible candidates who appeared for the exam.

Selection Process

• Qualifying Test (Shorthand Test)
• Main Examination: Paper-1 (English Language Proficiency & Computer Knowledge) and Paper-2 (Shorthand & Transcription Typing)

Salary

• Fixed pay of Rs. 40,800 per month for the first five years, followed by the Level-6 pay scale of Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400, subject to conditions.
