Age Limits

• Minimum age: 18 years as on 20-06-2026.
• Maximum age (before relaxations): 35 years.
• Age relaxations: General women 5 years (to 40), Reserved categories up to 45 (varies by category and gender), Divyang (PwD) relaxations up to 45 years with specific sub-rules. Ex-Servicemen: as applicable.

Educational Qualifications

• Must possess either a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology (excluding Civil Engineering) from a recognized university or institution under UGC Act, 1956; OR
• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (excluding Civil Engineering) with about 2 years of practical work experience as a technical worker in government or large-scale industry; AND
• Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment Rules, 1967; AND
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi (or both).

Notes

• Civil Engineering is explicitly excluded.
• Candidates without a computer knowledge certificate at application time may still apply but must produce the certificate before appointment. Otherwise, their selection will be cancelled.
