Age Details

As on 31/07/2026, candidates must be not less than 18 years and not more than 33 years old. Ex-servicemen and certain categories enjoy age relaxations up to 45 years for certain disability categories and specific conditions. The maximum age limit can extend to 45 years for eligible disabled candidates as applicable.

Eligibility Details

Citizenship

The candidate must be a citizen of India or possess nationality as permitted under Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Gender

Only male candidates are eligible to apply. Women candidates cannot apply for this post, as per the General Administration Department notification dated 11/11/2014.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:

• Completed a minimum one-year Multi-Purpose Health Worker basic certificate or diploma from a government-recognized institution; or
• Passed a minimum one-year Sanitary Inspectors Diploma Course from a government-recognized institution; or
• Passed a minimum one-year certificate course of Health Sanitary Inspectors from a government-recognized institute; or
• Passed the diploma of Sanitary Inspector or Health Sanitary Inspector from a University established under a Central or State Act, or an institution deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.

Candidates must also possess basic computer application knowledge as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967, and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. Candidates without a computer certificate at the time of application may still apply, but must produce proof of passing a basic computer knowledge test before appointment; failure to do so will lead to cancellation of selection.

Fees must be paid online (Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or Wallet) by 03/08/2026, 11:59 PM. The exam fee is refundable to candidates who appear for the exam; it is non-refundable for those who do not appear.
