Age Details

As on 15/09/2025, the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 33 years. Relaxations may apply as per government rules for certain categories.

Eligibility Details

• Nationality: Indian citizen or as per applicable government rules.
• Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent, plus either:
  • a one-year Sanitary Inspector Diploma from a government-recognized institution, or
  • a one-year Certificate of Health Sanitary Inspector from an ITI or other government-recognized institute.
• Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed by applicable rules.
• Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.
• Note: Candidates without a basic computer knowledge certificate at the time of application may still apply, but must provide proof of having passed a basic computer knowledge test before appointment; otherwise, selection will be canceled.

Application Fee

• Unreserved: ₹500
• Reserved categories (Women - all categories, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwD, Ex-servicemen): ₹400
• Fees are payable online via Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or Wallets. A transaction fee may apply. Fees are refundable to examinees who appear for the exam; non-appearing candidates are not refunded.

How to Apply

1. Visit https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in and click Online Application → Apply, then select GSSSB.
2. Choose Advertisement No. 349/202526 (Municipal Sanitary Inspector, Class-3) and click Apply.
3. Click Apply Now, skip to open the application format; fill in personal details.
4. Fill in educational details.
5. Accept the declaration and save to generate the Application Number.
6. Upload photograph and signature in JPG format (both under 15 KB).
7. Confirm application (edits not allowed after confirmation).
8. Note the Confirmation Number for future steps.
9. Download and print the application form for records.
10. Pay the examination fee online by 29/07/2026 (11:59 PM).

Candidates should submit only one application. If multiple applications are submitted, the last confirmed application (with fee paid) will be considered valid; earlier ones will be cancelled and fees paid will not be refunded or adjusted.
